What we need to understand about our genes is that they can be turned ON or OFF, this means everything you do in your daily life is either turning disease and sickness on or it is turning it off. If you change your belief you change your genes, could positive thinking, meditation and positive environment (less stress) be the key to health just as much as a good diet? FInd out more in this video.
Remember perception is key to many things. Things are often as we perceive them. The direct environment and the way we perceive it can make all the difference in sickness.
This video shows some interesting insights into research at Stanford University, Dr. Bruce Lipton's research into epigenetics and how we can heal ourselves. In one such experiment the nucleus was removed from the cell- the brain of the cell. Yet if the nucleus, as we are taught, contains all the genes and controls the function, why was the cell still able to live 3 or more months after? It has no genes, but cannot reproduce. So if it is the brain and it is removed the cell would not survive, but seeing as it no longer can reproduce we then must consider that it is the gonad...
"So here lies the joke, since science is a male dominated profession and since males apparently think with their gonads, then making the nucleus a brain would make sense!" An interesting tidbit that made me chuckle.
This video is one I can't recommend enough, in my 6 month program I teach more than just the nutrition aspect of sickness but also the mind, body and gut connection.
