Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Start by juicing 1/2 a beet (fresh is best) If you are used to beets feel free to add more but you will want to work your way up to it.
  2. Whisk together your fresh beet juice (or powder) with the boiling water, vanilla extract and sweetener of choice. If you are using powdered beetroot be sure to add a little water at a time.
  3. Froth your milk substitute or heat in a pan on low heat. I like to add all the ingredients to my vitamix to give it extra froth
  4. Once added to the blender, add the coconut oil to your heated mix. Blend for 45 seconds and pour into your favorite mug. Cheers!
  5. Want to vary this a little? Add ceylon cinnamon, coconut cream instead of milk and even give it some super punch with a little raw cacao powder.
Recipe Notes

This is one of those huge trends in Australia that will eventually make it's way here... but until it does you can be ahead of the game. This little gem isn't just for hipsters and yogi's

For those wondering the carb count and sugars for a ketogenic style of diet:

1 ounce of beet juice = 3 gram total carbs and 3 grams of sugars. Side note you get 36 grams of potassium plus a slew of other nutrients such as folate, manganese, and vitamin C.
