How to Sprout Just About Anything

How to Sprout Just About Anything

Grab a decent sized glass mason jar, throw in your seeds (this depends on what you are sprouting as to if you will use 1/2 tsp or a few tbsp)

Add the desired seeds to the jar and cover with water. I like to fill it right up, don’t bother measuring as it doesn’t matter.

Cover the jar with a dish cloth or cheese cloth and let it sit, soaking overnight.

In the morning you will want to drain, rinse and set the jar with the seeds back on the counter. This time with the mason jar covered (with cheese cloth) you will place it upside down so it continues to drain. I add it to a bowl so it stays in position.

Rinse and repeat in the morning and at night (twice a day) until the spouts start to form. For some t his is 2 days for other it can be 5-7.

Add to salads, soups or sandwiches and enjoy

Note that if you are soaking and sorting nuts you do not need to wait till they grow a full "tail", 24 hours is sufficient to achieve the desired result for ease of digestion.
