Why do I drink wheatgrass?

This question is one I’m frequently asked, along with the typical what does it do? Well my answer is pretty much – what DOESN’T it do? It is used by many holistic and alternative facilities for treatment and health, it is doing wonders for many and to be honest it is a staple in my program. It just so happens to be one of the BEST sources of chlorophyll out there, once catch though, you have to juice it fresh and consume it right away. None of this frozen or powdered juice crap that is being marketed to the masses as a super-food, you just aren’t reaping the benefits like you would from the real deal. Now some companies ‘flash freeze’ and if this is done correct you are supposed only losing around 20% of the nutritionist… so they say. So how much chlorophyll is in wheatgrass juice and why should you care? Well you are looking at 70% chlorophyll and that stuff just so happens to help build the blood… If you were to look at the molecules under a microscope you would see that they very closely resemble that of the hemin molecule ( that is the pigment that combines with the protein to form hemoglobin. One major difference is the chlorophyll molecule contains magnesium as its central atom where the hemin molecule contains iron, other than that they are almost identical. So what is Chlorophyll? Chlorophyll is the molecule that absorbs sunlight, it is a chemoprotein commonly known for its contribution to the green pigment in plants, and is related to porthole (the red pigment of blood)....
