5 rules to get the right supplements for you…and how to choose them.

Rule #1 Research I cannot stress this enough, you must do your due diligence. Always research what you put into your body. Ask the right questions, do I need this? Have I been diagnosed with a condition by a medical professional? Will this help this condition? What are the side effects? Are there any contraindications with medications I may already be taking? Could this hurt me in any way? Is the quality there? Only take high quality supplements making sure they have a consistent amount of the active ingredient.   Rule #2 Never buy on impulse. This one explains itself. As a mater of fact you should follow rule #1 before you even head to the store.   Rule #3 Learn what to look for. GMP – this stands for Good Manufacturing Practices. This is one of many labels to search out. NON GMO is another very important one. Remember you get what you pay for so check expiry dates and know that if it’s on sale there is probably a reason so ask why. Not all sales are bad especially if purchasing from a highly reputable supplement shop. Look at the label, the back of the label. Check ingredients and dosage. If buying online you need to be extremely careful of quality control. Where does the company source the ingredients from, you can  email the company directly.   Rule #4 How does it work?
